Where to shop in Prestonia!

Hey everyone!

Now this post is mainly 4 us girls but guys do feel free to have a little read especially if you have a special lady friend ;)

Now i know that many of you have come from big towns and cities where you are spoilt for choice shopping wise. Unfortunately Preston slacks in that department! Being from Manchester coming here was like, ummm is this it? You see the problem is that Preston does have many shops however their half the size of the shops in Manchester. Basically there is not very much to choose from but it's not that bad!

I'm a high street girl myself with the odd bit of vintage of course. But i do like to mix and match my outfits. Gone are the days when i used to actually match my outfits and have eveything colour coordinated. Now i love to experiment and put anything together and without sounding vain.. i do get away with it! I LOVE colour i think it is important for every girl not to be afraid in expressing themselves, and what better way to do it than through your clothes! Even in the miserable gloomy dark winter days i like to dress up bright and colourful!

So for all you girls who want to spend a ahem reasonable amount of their loan on clothes.. shoes.. accessories etc.. here's the lowdown on what shops to pay a visit to:

H&M
River Island
Republic (it's tinyyyyyy)
DB3
New Look
Topshop
Desire
Miss Selfridge
T K Maxx
and of course Primark. PRIMARK. NOT PRIMANI! God i hate it when people refer to Primark as Primani it's like you really don't sound cool you just sound a bit stupid.

Now the shops i have mentioned are in Town and there are actually more but these are the main places i like to shop in Preston.

And just for my lovely readers here's a recent pic of me on a average day off to uni (looook its the bootsss!)

Ciao!

AND..... I'd like to welcome you all to UCLAN BABY!

Hey heyyy! HAPPY FRESHERS!

I arrived in lovely Preston last weekend! Its been a busy wizzy week hence why i didn't get a chance to update my blog but im here now =)

As usual i over packed but hey a girls gotta have all her things with her when moving! I'm just glad my brother has a seven seater car otherwise i'd be hiring a van! But seeing as i live in Manchester it's just an hours drive away which is gooooood!

Now a message to all you freshers: Party hard my friends party hard because before you know it your in 3rd year and have no life. (that's me.)

Also dont be shy! Making new friends may seem daunting but remember everybody is feeling the same so dont worry! Whether your in class or on the dancefloor in Lava just breathe smile and say a simple 'hello.' One thing that i've found at Uclan is that everybody is friendly, people say hello even if you dont know them! It's great! I love it!

Moving onto something a bit more serious Fresher's flu.. Now it is rather important that you dont get struck down with this flu as you don't want to be in bed with a snotty nose and hot water bottle while everyone else is having fun. SO some of the symptoms to watch out for are headaches, coughing, sneezing, fever and shivering. If you feel worried or think you have the dreaded FF then jus head down to the medical centre which is just off Kirkham Street and the phone number is 01772 892 598.

I hope my advice will help you baby freshers =)

Here's a piccy of me having some fun while i can.. Lectures start tomorrow and i have one heck of a busy year ahead!!

Ciao for now xxx

The Big Fat Shopping List

Helloooo everyone!

Well my Uni shopping is more or less complete (wooo!). My plan was to take a lil piccy of my shopping list and stick it on here unfortunately a disaster occurred. Now I’ve done this before when I’ve been roaming around town with my shopping list in one hand, pen in another frantically ticking off and trying to work out how much i’ve spent and how much is still to be spent. What do I go and do?

I. DROP. IT.

Yes i dropped my shopping list (by mistake of course) ufff i HATE it when this happens but what with my shopping bags I’m also holding I guess it just.. kind of.. slips away.. somehow?

Anyway I didn’t panic too much as I had come to the end of my shopping. The only items which were left was stationary, ring binders, plastic wallets etc but I had decided to get all them when I move back to Uni anyway. And some items I had already brought a few weeks back.

So here is what i DID buy:

Glasses and Cups
Plastic containers to put food away in (a MUST!)
Duvet
A nice pink bin for my room
A pink lamp
A full length mirror
Toiletries
And Plastic hangers

However I have a confession to make. I strayed away from the list. I brought boots. 2 pairs of boots in fact. But 1 pair don’t count because my lovely mama got me them =) I’ve put pics up of them just so you can all see how hot they are!

5 days till the big move! I cant wait! I actually miss uni and working!

I hope everyone’s shopping and packing and moving is going well!

Ciao xxx

Howdy folks! Lets get blogging!

Hey guys!

Well i think i should begin by firstly telling you all what this blog has to bring. The name 'Because I Said So' should let you know that yes i will be ranting away. About what though? I hear you cry. Well folks. About everything. But the main idea is students and what us poor little souls have to go through. And as September has approached oh so very fast and everyone is packing their lives away into boxes and suitcases. I just have one thing to say.

PARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Ahem and of course education lovely lovely education! So as all my fellow students and i are packing away i will also be spreading some pearls of wisdom. Starting with the big fat shopping list. If you dont have one what the hell is wrong with you! Get a pen (preferably a nice colourful one it always makes the task in hand much more fun) and a piece of white lined A4 paper and get cracking! Leave out the gadgets, heels and make-up (for now!) stick to essentials like dishes, cutlery, folders etc. A shopping list always makes it clearer as to what you have and what you still need to buy! Organisation my friends! Oraganisation!

I will be back to let you all know how my uni shopping goes. And remember guys stick to the list once you get to uni and your loan comes.. well then its a different story ;)
